How to Shop for Vintage with Rachel’s Vintage & Retro

Rachel's Vintage Website

Hello readers, as you might have already noticed, the shop on my website is BACK! It’s been a tough few months on all retailers with the Covid-19 situation worldwide, however the resulting temporary slowdown has given me time to take a step back, think about direction, and ultimately reboot my business, ready for the 2020 Christmas season and beyond! A few things have changed as I decide which platforms are best to sell on (Hint: Etsy and Ebay are out!). So it’s time to give you a bit of an update on How to Shop for Vintage with Rachel’s Vintage & Retro.

1. Website Shop – shown above
My main channel for all vintage sales is my website shop at rachelsvintageretro.co.uk. Here you will find a central catalogue of all the vintage items I have for sale at any one time, and which are currently in stock. This is my preferred way for customers to shop, as it helps me to keep all orders and customer details in one place.

2. Facebook Page & Shop
However, I also regularly post on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rachelsvintageretro/ to alert my followers when new items have been added to the website. All photos are tagged with items from my Facebook shop, which is a synched copy of products from my website. You can visit the shop at https://www.facebook.com/pg/rachelsvintageretro/shop/ and when you click on an image to shop you get the option to view the product on my website, and will be directed there should you wish to purchase.

3. Facebook Selling Group
You can find this at https://www.facebook.com/groups/rachelsvintageretro/ and here I am more likely to post bigger items that are suitable for local collection from my home business in Pitstone near Tring / Aylesbury / Leighton Buzzard. They will also be listed on Facebook marketplace.
4. Instagram Page & Shop
Like Facebook above, I also post new items from the website to my Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/rachelsvintageretro/. Products again are tagged from my shop, and you can view them on the shop tab found on my instagram profile page. If you wish to purchase, you will be directed to my website as with Facebook above.

That’s it! Happy shopping and if you have any questions or technical problems with the website or my social media pages at all, don’t hesitate to contact me.
